Global Health Certificate

Description

The Global Health Certificate provides knowledge of global health with an emphasis on health in low resource countries and vulnerable populations. Students engage in classroom instruction followed by a meaningful field experience in a Latin American country. The certificate is open to Clemson University undergraduate students enrolled in a health-related program, such as nursing, public health or pre-medicine.

The certificate program consists of 12 credits distributed as follows:

• NURS 3600 - Social Determinants of Health in Low Resource Countries 3 Credits
• NURS 3610 - Leadership and Collaboration in Global Health 3 Credits
• Support Requirement 3 Credits ¹
• NURS 3620 - Low Resource Country Field Experience 3 Credits
