Six Sigma Certificate

Description

Six Sigma is a highly disciplined, process-focused, data-oriented strategy and methodology, coupled with management concepts and lean tools, that aims to improved processes and reduce costs. Six Sigma project success stories have been reported by a large number of organizations, including health care, manufacturing, government, military, pharmaceuticals, banks and service.

The Industrial Engineering Department offers the nine-credit Six Sigma Certificate Program to meet the need for focused training for undergraduate students interested in a career in Six Sigma. The following courses are required:

• IE 3600 - Industrial Applications of Probability and Statistics I 3 Credits
• IE 3610 - Industrial Applications of Probability and Statistics II 3 Credits
• IE 4620 - Six Sigma Quality 3 Credits
