Pan African Studies Minor

Minor Description

(18 credits minimum)

A minor in Pan African Studies requires 18 credits, including HIST 3110  or HIST 3120 ; and GBS 1000 ; and 12 additional credits arranged as follows:

• Group I: Three credits selected from GBS 1010 , GBS 4980 , HIST 3370 , HIST 3380 , HIST 3390 , or HIST 4380  
• Group II: Three credits selected from ENGL 4820 , ENGL 4830 , POSC 3810 , SOC 4600  or THEA 3170  
• Group III: Three credits in the social sciences selected from HIST 3140 , HIST 4930 , POSC 4230 , POSC 4540 , PSYC 3520 , SOC 3110 , SOC 3310  or SOC 4620  
• Group IV: Three credits in the humanities selected from COMM 3690 , ENGL 3530 , ENGL 4590 , GBS 1000 , MUSC 3120 , REL 3100 , THEA 3180  or WS 3010  

NOTE: This minor is not open to Global Black Studies majors.
