English Minor

Minor Description

(15 credits minimum)

A minor in English requires 15 credits in English above the sophomore level, arranged as follows:

• Critical Writing About Literature: ENGL 3100  
• British: Three credits selected from ENGL 3960 , ENGL 3970 , ENGL 4070 , ENGL 4080 , ENGL 4100 , ENGL 4140 , ENGL 4150 , ENGL 4160 , ENGL 4170 , ENGL 4180 , ENGL 4330  or ENGL 4440  
• American: Three credits selected from ENGL 3980 , ENGL 3990 , ENGL 4200 , ENGL 4210 , ENGL 4250 , ENGL 4260 , or ENGL 4820 .
• Electives: Six additional credits above the sophomore level, including at least three from the 4000 level

NOTE: This minor is not open to English majors or Secondary Education - English Teaching Area majors.
