COMM 4510 - Media Communication 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Examines theories and methods used in analyzing mediated communication through a survey of media studies work. Explores how different technologies (cinema, television, Internet) impact the communication process, the industries that produce media texts, and how audiences choose, consume, and use different media in communication processes. Perspectives utilized may include mass communication, cultural studies, computer mediated communication, and others. Preq: ENGL 3570 .
