MICR 4150 - Microbial Genetics 3 Credits (3 Contact Hours) Investigates the molecular basis of microbial lives. Topics include essential genes involved in DNA, RNA and protein metabolism; mutations and genome evolution; global gene regulation; and genetic analysis, using both forward and reverse genetics. Includes Honors sections. Preq: MICR 4120 ; and BCHM 3010 or BCHM 3050 . Non-Microbiology majors do not have to have taken MICR 4120 , but must request a registration override from the instructor to enroll in this course.
